hospitality wasn't so bad after all (: except for the totally clashing green&yellow vests/caps, everything else was pretty good. sitting through service on my own is kinda boring, but it was okay. i thought clearing up was kinda fun :D so yeah, i wouldn't mind doing it again, i suppose. haha, some cell was playing scavenger hunt. and one of the items was someone wearing red&green socks. and haha, i'm the one man (: my pair of feet are celebrities, lol.
came home after that. gosh, going to the front of the after service is so much better. empty trains, and you can take a seat all the way home, haha.
went home for dinner, yum (: mom picked me up from the bus stop because it was drizzling. after dinner, fell asleep watching tv. but haha, i did plan on taking a nap before i went for carolling.
a change of clothes before dad dropped me off at clementi mrt. took a pretty empty train to raffles place, met kelly, and took the rather packed train to orchard. orchard on christmas eve sucks. like, large crowds, irritating snow foam sprayers and the occasional bursts of swearings due to major annoyance. so yeah, i've learnt my lesson and i'm never going back. but carolling was okay i suppose, except for some guy who thinks he's king of the world, whatever.
met isaac after that and exchanged presents :D hitched a ride to redhill mrt and dad picked me up from clementi. reached home around 1am, bathed and watched a bit of tv with the parents. two sleepless nights, yes?
and ah, i've got the notes from my mom's colleague already. yeah, more books and notes and stuff for Os preparations. victoria school's, should be interesting.

it's the eve of christmas eve.
yesterday
took a bus to kelly's place first, hung around before her mom dropped tammy, kelly and i at vivocity. yupp, candy empire, chameleon, giant, mini toons, toys r us, sakae, gifts n such, bookshop, more than words, big bookshop, toilet, cold storage. then kelly's mom picked us up again, hurr.
spent around $80 this christmas on presents and such. i have 9 receipts in total, gosh, i feel as if i went on a shopping spree la. we didn't go arcade, we didn't go sky park, we didn't just shop like retail therapy shop. it's shopping with a purpose, ew.
kelly's place for christmas party. haha, whatever la. i thought monopoly was pretty cool. as in, duh, i was like on the verge of going bankrupt and whatsoever. the game was going nowhere, all properties sold, and no one wanted to trade. like duh, trading scotts road & tanglin road for geylang? you gotta be kidding me. isaac was all "don't buy thomson, flooding!" -.- went home around midnight.

spent afternoon doing christmas presents. and two things i realised about myself this festive season. i can't wrap presents if it's not flat or in a box. and i can't cut straight lines even with a pair of scissors or penknife. only rulers or those cutters things, haha.
went mom's side grandma house first, followed by dad's side, then to sizzler for dinner :D

been waking up relatively early these few days la. well, mainly because my mom's home and to avoid nagging of sleeping too much.

took 14 down to Orchard. finally got my Literature notes from Borders. walked to Far East and spent ages there luh. haha, the young adults section in Crest has pretty interesting books. walked to Tangs, mom bought her wallet -.- it's black and has a strawberry on it. haha, whatever man. walked to Centrepoint, still no candycanes ): took 14 to AV and had Thai :D i'm like totally numb to their ever spicy tom yam soup. i love pineapple rice (: and all the other stuff, hee. then walked around Queensway, and then home.
dad called and asked if i'd found my candycanes yet. and well, no, so he's gonna go help me see if the supermarket near his office has.
when he went to cold storage, the person asked him to try Candy Empire.

i woke up before 11am. it's like, i jumped out of bed. WHY? because the sun was up, and like, not raining at all. oh man, totally cool :D but whatever, we ended up not going out. but, i must say, it was a pretty fruitful day (:

yesterday night, my iPod kinda hanged on me, so i thought maybe try to charge it again or something. but when i switched on the com, everything just went horribly wrong la. like, i couldn't open IE and iTunes, and it wouldn't charge either. so waited til now to charge it, and thankfully, it's working perfectly fine. scared the hell out of me luh.
and like omg, i have never seen it rain and rain like this before. i mean, it started raining since yesterday around 2pm, and like, right now, it's still raining. twenty four hours of rain. seriously, i wonder where all the rain water comes from, it just pours and pours and pours. like a never ending waterfall la -.- even if it is monsoon season, there is a limit to the amount of water that can actually fall from the sky right? like, where does all the rain clouds come from?
sigh, at this rate, i'll never get to go out la. cos mom wouldn't want to go out, and i'll be stuck at home, growing fatter ):

so yeah, went to visit grandma today. then went IMM for dinner. Japanese steamboat, i'd rather the ala carte buffet la. but, whatever. walked around after that. hurr, went to Best. parents bought a study lamp for the study room, where this desktop is. and well, the lamp's black, like the computer. and when i say computer, i mean everything, from the CPU to the monitor to the keyboard and mouse. yeah, whatever. then went to see iPod. seriously, i had no intention of buying. but they did, and omg, i'm speechless really, and absolutely thrilled :DDD totally cool la. then went to look at digicams. and oh man, i want the Casio one okay. i'm gonna buy one next year, next year i have to own one. if not Casio, i want the Canon Ixus, i don't know what model. but the small rectangular one. whee, i want the brownish one :D
then walked around some more, mom wanted to shop for her stuff. and oh yes, somewhat did my christmas shopping. bought Dorcas & Kelly's presents already x)

okay, the new friendster profile page thing is looking a wee bit weird. i prefer the previous one, i think. and i have to wear a hairband around, because my hair is starting to get really annoying. i want to cut my hair, i don't want to cut my hair. i've yet to make up my mind la :/
so yes, met mom at raffles city yesterday :D we were supposed to go eat Subway. but then she was like, "do you want to eat Out of the Pan instead? or Bakerzin? or maybe lets go check out the japanese restaurant up there." and i'm like "uh, okay". so yeah, we ended up at the 'japanese restaurant up there'. haha, SUSHI TEI :D okay okay, i officially love love love Sushi Tei. i didn't expect my mom to spend so much on dinner -.- haha, sukiyaki! don't you just love that word, it has this nice ring to it. SUKIYAKI :D alright, alright. and then we had Ice Balls for dessert and omg, it was yummy :D okay, then we shopped and walked around. went Marks & Spencer to buy food. mom stocked up on biscuits cos she says she needs to have her 'afternoon tea' everyday when she goes on block leave. haha, bought $26 worth of biscuits. and well, after that we took the bus home. reached home at like, 1030pm? which shortly after, my dad came home x) so yeah, last night was pretty fun. oh, and i've realised, that i'm afraid of large crowds, seriously -.-
slept at nearly 4am this morning, and i woke up before 1130. oh gosh -.- the later i sleep, the earlier i awake. it's freaky. dad bought me laksa for lunch, yum (: and hopefully i don't have to settle my own dinner tonight? if not it'll be, gosh, instant mee. i'm not in the mood for cup noodles right now, ew.

ah, this post page is back to looking normal.
so i didn't hear my alarm ring today, but i woke up pretty much on time. okay, lets see, i charged my phone on sunday night, and by monday it was already half gone. so i charged my phone yesterday night, and today, it's already 3/4 la. maybe i've been smsing way too much. and seriously, i think it may just explode this month. i wish i had unlimited smses la, that'll be way cool. mom hasn't opened the singtel bill yet, and it's been sitting there for days, the suspense is killing me. one month confiscation of phone may not be such a bad thing, haha.
okay, bathed and left for the airport. met bettina, cynthia and nicole. took the skytrain to terminal one and met the mission girls at counter seven, haha. waited for them to check in and stuff. then went for lunch at popeyes, this is the first time i actually finished their meals, hurr. back to the departure gate, only to realise that their flight has been re-timed. so they left for the viewing mall to settle their mission stuff and that was goodbyes. like oh gosh, i told myself i won't cry. but when everyone started going "don't cry! be strong! don't cry!" i just couldn't take it la, and the more kelly hugged me, the more i cried. yeah yeah, i'm an emotional kid, you never knew that. and that people start saying funny stuff and i just laugh and cry. laughing and crying is like, hilarious la.
i really want to be an air stewardress when i grow up, that'll be so cool :D i love planes, i don't really love flying, but i love planes. i wanna be a singapore girl, be an air stewardress on singapore airlines, and wear those batik stuff. but okay, whatever.
okay, this is the breakdown of their flight situation.
their vietnam airlines plane was supposed to depart at 230, but it got "re-timed" to 310, then it got "re-timed" to 645. i told my mom, and she was like, because it's a roundabout trip, so it means if the plane can't come into singapore, it can't fly out. the plane flies from singapore to ho chi minh then to hanoi, and i suppose back to singapore. so yeah, most probably cos of typhoon durian that they couldn't fly. so anyway, kelly called and she said that they've been transferred to another flight. yeah, singapore airlines luh. they're flying to hong kong, stay one night and then fly to vietnam tmr, and they each get a US$100 refund. which mom says it'll most likely cover their accomodation fees for one night. so yeah, their plane departed at 7, and i'm a sad little girl ):
so yes, i'm currently emotionally unstable and may break into tears any moment. give me some time to adapt to the emptiness man :/
so yes, after that left for home with the 3 of them. haha, at least i somewhat had isaac to accompany me all the way home. so maybe i'm not being consoled by him, but at least he made me laugh, haha, so i suppose i don't feel so sad anymore.
homed, i took a nap, gosh. bathed and went out for dinner with parents.

i woke up at 640 for some unknown reason, i then woke up at 702 because my mom wanted to tell me something, and then i had great difficulty going back to sleep. woke up at 830, bathed and rushed out of the house. the stupid bus wouldn't come so at 930 i was still stuck at my house bus stop. to think i was supposed to be at city hall by 10. so i reached there, thankfully, on time but realised i was on the wrong side of the finish line, the timing at that point of time was 4:02. so i decided to rush to the other side, and i reached there at 4:12. and like gosh la, my dad completed at 4:08, so i totally missed him ): when he called me at 1105, i was still stupidly waiting at the finish line la. but when he called, i felt like crying so bad. i was like craning my neck looking out for him i felt like some giraffe.
so dad dropped me off at church and i met kelly, denise and bettina. lunch, service, cell, chitchat. for once, i wasn't shivering in service, i didn't even need the jacket :D and oh man, oh man. LBPT was LPPT today, haha. went home with kelly and joyce after that. fish head curry for dinner :D
oh yes, in the morning i was listening to the radio at the bus stop, there was gossip news on hilary and joel and i wanted to laugh, but oh man, it'll be embarrassing.
everyone around me seems to want to turn me into a girl la, like those girlish type of girly girl. tshirt and jeans is comfort, baby. rather than skirts, where you have to watch how you sit. i'm not against it la, but i'm just not comfortable in it, especially to church :/ and yes i wore one to church today, the whole cell did, it was super cool :D

mom woke me up this morning, it was only 1120 mind you. watched a bit of tv before my aunt made an unexpected dropby, but me and mom had to rush off for wedding lunch. me in skirt, heels and handbag. c'mon, be proud of me! hee. right, booked a cab there, and we reached just on time. Swissotel Merchant Court, i think it sounds elegant. yeah, whatever. buffet lunch was okay. sashimi was tremendously yummy (: okay, so it's my cousin and cousin-in-law's wedding, Leonard & Elaine. and so the bridegroom told his romance story, and it's like SWEET la. about how he met her at the bus stop late one night near the poly they attended, they've been courting for 13 years la. okay, then he asked her if she was hungry and then it all began. c'mon, everybody say AWW. i sat at table 10, the bride's side. and directly across, the bridegroom's side, at table 15.. i will never forget that guy in the white tee with a red checkered shirt. okay, give me two weeks la, cos i'll probably never see him again ):
after lunch, wanted to take the mrt home from Clarke Quay, but mom said she didn't wanna walk (her heels, she complained) that long stretch of walkway when we transfer to EW line at Orchard, so we decided to take the bus. but then mom wanted to go buy some stuff from near her office, so we walked all the way to Hong Lim there. then mom wanted to go vivocity, and so we went. walked around, and finally went into AX man, cool stuff, but ex stuff. went to Bakerzin for tea and then walked some more. went pageone, and omg, i want the songbook so much okay, i'm gonna buy it one day when i go back (: mom bought a brown circle-ish dress, and i bought one too, cos mom says i need one for certain occasions -.- Forever 21 has nice dresses, but sadly mine isn't from there. it's just some cheapo stuff at half price of those at F21, but it still looks nice la. walked to harbourfront for dinner at pastamania and then came home. it was a good day today, bonding with my mom. i can't wait til she goes on block leave starting december 15 :D she's promised to bring me to so many places la.
i've walked so much in heels today that my legs really ache, i've got blisters and my legs really ache, my slippers now look old and my legs really ache. and the irony is that my mom complained her heels were wobbly and she couldn't walk in them,s he said she didn't even wanna walk the walkway at outram mrt and she walks the whole of vivo. oh the irony!
so anyway, looking forward to church tmr. who doesn't look forward to sundays or any other day. i look forward to everyday, you just don't know it because i don't proclaim it openly. so i'm wearing skirt tmr, beware!
